The recent murder of 65-year-old Seyran Sargsyan, a resident of the town of Chartar in Martuni region of Artsakh, became another defiantly cynical crime of Azerbaijan against the peaceful population of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Today, December 6, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev once again voiced threats against Armenia. Demonstrating that not only the statements of Yerevan, but also of Moscow have no force for Baku, Aliyev said that he would receive a corridor through Armenia by any means, including by force.

On September 22nd, I received several reports from sources inside the Syrian National Army (SNA), the umbrella organization of all Syrian opposition factions backed by Turkey, that the first deployment of SNA men to Azerbaijan had taken place. For months before this, rumors that Turkey would be sending militants to Azerbaijans had been swirling among the SNA. “The men were taken to Turkey, forced to shave their beards and wear civilian clothes, and then they began their journey,” a Hamza Division militant in Afrin said.

Azerbaijan is reportedly preparing criminal proceedings against Armenian POW Gurgen Alaverdyan, who is currently under custody in Baku. If convicted, the junior officer who was abducted from the Line of Contact near Talish over the weekend will likely face life imprisonment in Azerbaijan.
